The ” Imagine, Recreate, Fashion!” UpCycling Competition and Sustainable Fashion show was held at the Annual West End Celebration in August of 2014.
All participants in the UpCycling competition had two simple criteria: Their work had to be inspired by the work of another local artist, and no materials utilized in the garment’s construction could be purchased new.
We would like to thank Monterey Peninsula Waste Management and the Arts Council of Monterey County for their generous support, along with our many sponsors who are listed on the program at the bottom of this page.
The photographs are a compilation of the work of Patrice Ward, Top Dog Images, and Christine Holding Photography, among others.
The phenomenal hair and makeup styling showcased in these photos is thanks to Gina Marie Davi, at Venus Salon, and Sehra Evans www.hairbysehra.com.
Community Palette is always a group effort, and our thanks goes out to everyone who contributed at every level to this fabulous event.
